P0345 code after dropped valve
In the Fall of 2013 I replaced both cam phasers, timing chains, tensioners, guides, VCT solenoids and lash adjusters on my 2004 5.4 3V. It ran great after that until two weeks ago when it dropped a valve in cylinder number 7. I had the head fixed, new valves, new piston and get it all back together and it runs terrible, won't idle and shows a P0345 code. I unplug the CPS on the drivers side and it runs smooth but lacks low end power of course.
So no I am really confused. I marked the cam to the phaser and the timing chain to the phaser and checked and double checked the marks when I reinstalled the cam and timing chains.
When it began misfiring when the valve dropped could it have over advanced the cam phaser? Should I move it back a tooth? Any other ideas on what could be causing this problem?
