Grinding/whining noise

Haven't been on here in a long time but I have a Quick question. I just got back from deployment and the wife was driving my truck and noticed a noise. Never thought much about it till I got home. It is a constant whining/grinding noise that get louder with speed changes and will vary on sound when turning left or right. By vary I mean get worse or better. Tires are air up to spec. Any thoughts? Thanks.
TEX.

Welcome back and home. Do a search here or online regarding IWE system. This is Fords 4X4 front wheel engagement system. If you have a problem with this system it can make the noise you are hearing. Also front axle shaft bearings can be the culprit. Hope this helps.
