Man its hard to tell from that-almost sounds like a busted piston. What were you doing when it happened? Did you lose power? Was there white smoke from the exhaust?

It sounds like that probably 3 times a week. When you shut the truck off and restart it goes away for awhile.

It shutters while in drive. Runs ruff

You definitely need to take it in, it is only a matter of time before it strands you somewhere. I have never heard a transmission do that. Had one go out on my FX4 and it never made a sound, whatever happened to it won’t be cheap-sorry dude.

5.4? Sounds sort of like an exhaust leak. Have you tried to read codes?

engine light on? I would guess blown out plug but that wouldnt go away..

It says cam timing retarted bank 2 when I tested it.

Engine? Actual codes? Pretty sure its cam phaser issue..

Check engine light was on and that's what the machine spit out.
Is the cam phaser covered under the power train warranty?

The machine spits out a 5 digit code starting with a "P" - that's what we need.
