bolt head broke off water pump

I have broken bolt head on my '96 351 Windsor water pump. What are the chances once I get to the wp, that I will be able to tap tap it off, then take a pipe wrench and carefully try to loosen the bolt and reapply a new gasket. It's been leaking. I need to do this asap before my move at the end of the month. towing a trailer and not having this fixed could be a recipe for disaster.

anything I could spray on that bolt besides WD 40 or whatever? Thanks alot

a little pb blaster never hurts. It may not be that the bolt was stuck more so that it was just a rusted head. Do like you said, get the rest of the bolts off, tap the wp off and work on it with a pair of vise grips and everything you got. Never hurts to give it taps with a hammer while you have pressure on it. Otherwise, it's a good candidate for welding on a nut.
