Frozen (Literally) Throttle
So check this out...my gas pedal is freezing/stuck at the idle position!
After the truck sits outside in freezing temps, the gas pedal doesn't wanna move. I have to kick it to get it to break free. It takes a couple repeated kicks to get it to the point the stick is completely gone. New development this winter...didn't do it last year, nor ever in the trucks history.
I've cleaned all the linkage on the throttle body and lubed every moving joint in the throttle system. I even liberally sprayed silicon lube down the tube that the throttle cable runs in. Nothing has changed and it froze up again on me yesterday.
*NOTE* as I was typing this post, I realized I did nothing to the cruise control cable or associated system.
Any ideas or other items to check? You guys ever seen/experienced this?

Yea, the cold climate system takes heat from either the coolant system , the PCV system or both. This thaws the TB out in no time when it's sub freezing. Before you reach operating temp.
The 02 models had a wrap around. A coolant line wrapped the PCV valve.
Short trips also collect moisture on top and inside the cam covers. This moisture gets into the PCV Valve, IAC and TB. It's a direct path.
Cleaning does help, allot. Moisture can add up pretty quick.

thats a load of horse dung that cold climate system. My truck doesn't have it and we see minus 40 with out the wind at least once every winter. My truck had the throttle stick shortly after I bought it in the winter of 2006. my throttle body was so dirty the sludge was making the blade on throttle body stick. i would start there.
