I have a 2004 f150 v8 5.4 Triton and i need to change the engine in it. i was wondering where a good place to get a complete engine. Also i was wondering what would be a good lift to put on it. i have a 3 inch block lift on it with 35's and i want to put a real lift on it. this was all ready on there when i bought the truck. can anyone help me out please!

 

Jasper. I'd also look at used 08+ engines that have the redesigned heads.

 

would i be able to fit an 08 in my 04? i dont really know much about trucks. im just starting out. lol

 

Same engine. 5.4 3v. 04 was the first year for the 3v and it was Fords first effort with allot of new technology. By 08 they had redesigned and improved it. If I were looking to put an engine in an 04-07 I'd definitely want the redesigned heads.
