Anyone had problems with the engine knocking? I just got my 2011 F150 2 weeks ago it has 390 miles on it. Once everything's up to temp (engine, trans) in gear at an idle you can hear a slight knock. If you give it a little gas the knock becomes very pronounced. It is not noticeable at highway speeds. trucks at the dealer. waiting on a diagnosis.

 

I think you are the first one to post a knock. Mine has 9,200 on it and still quiet. keep us posted.

i did get a check engine light the other day, had it turned off and it hasn't come back thankfully.

 

I read TSB on a drive shaft knock. Hope that's all it is. To me it sounds like a rod knocking. We'll see what the dealer comes up with.

 

You didn't read out the codes?

 

i did. it's in my "im back" thread. 2 codes that were the same for emissions sensor

 

its definitely under warranty..

 

Recently started to knock and I have only 5000 miles on it. Took it in and they said there's a service bulletin for the timing chain that is needs a tension pin changed. They said it can drive great for the life of the truck without effecting performance. It's just more of an annoying problem especially since its a brand new truck

 

Are they going to replace it under warranty?
