1997 F150 Stalls when RPM drops.

Whenever you slow down to turn or stop, the engine stalls out. What do I need to do now.

Any codes? I would try cleaning the IAC valve. Remove it and clean the inside using WD40.

If it's acting like a manual transmission that has a bad clutch, it may be that the torque converter is in full lock and not releasing. If that sounds right, transmission shop is the cure.

No, it is not transmission. Maybe fuel filter or a sensor??

Could be a bearing going on the ac compressor, idler pulley, etc....Causing too much drag on the belt and can't idle properly.

Any unusual noise coming from the engine bay?

Try cleaning the MAF sensor. They can cause all kinds of symptoms and not throw a code. Easy to do and may just work.

Well, After changing IAC, finally go a "check engine" light. Only code that came up was a misfire on #6, so changed the plug wires (they were pretty old) - problem solved! Runs without stalling - I am so happy!! Thanks to all of you for your input and assistance.
