running rough, but NO check engine light
Hey, me again. Got a 98 F150 4.6 with 201,000 miles. Started running rough recently and replaced spark plugs (Motorcraft), cleaned MAF, and checked compresssion. The truck idles very rough and shudders under acceleration. Truck feels terrible and has no power. Through it all, there is no check engine light. Isn't this very unusual? I would think if the truck is misfiring, there should be a code. Any ideas? Thanks

Fuel filter been replaced recently? Recommended every 15k... people tend to let them go for too long. Would also suspect coil packs if they have miles on them or are original. You would be surprised how just one or a few misfires can make the truck fall on it's face. I had one single missfire and my truck felt like it only had half the power.

You are making it difficult to see the whole picture and you are wasting everyone's time suggesting the same things over and over again.

SORRY FOR WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME. JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT MY TRUCK. I THOUGHT THE PURPOSE OF A FORUM WAS TO POST A QUESTION AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE COULD HELP ME ANSWER MY QUESTION. MULTIPLE FORUMS SO i COULD KEEP ALL MY REPAIRS CURRENT. WELL, THAT IS OK. I WILL NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME ANYMORE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE I AM WASTING MY TIME WRITING THIS TO THE SELECT FEW "SENSITIVE" ONES OUT THERE!!

Start a new thread. Tell us what happened, then start with what you replaced first. But tell us EVERYTHING in your threads first post. Don't just spread out different problems elsewhere, - it hard to help you that way.
If you need help THAT bad, then you need to spend a little time explaining things.
You also should fill your tuck info in under "UserCP". That way we can see what you have.
I mean, is it a 4wd or 2wd ?
How many miles?
What plugs are you using EXACTLY?
What are your DTC codes?
What engine do you have?
What coils did you use and where did you get them?
Just simple stuff like that should be posted if you truly need help.
