Gas tank fuel ??

Ok, not really sure where to put this... so here goes.
I filled up my truck three weeks ago before it got horrendous. Actually got gas for 2.88 a gallon with my Kroger discount. I only drive 3 miles to work one way (thank God) plus a few short trips (20-30 round trip) on weekends. Last week, i got just above half a tank so i topped off. It's easier to swallow 25-30 bucks for a fillup than to go to empty. Will this hurt anything of i keep topping off ever so often? Meaning, could i build up water vapor in the fuel? Live in east Tenneesse, not below freezing now, just a ton of rain lately.

Am i just looney for asking this, or will i hurt anything in the long term?
All comments are welcome..tell me i am crazy for not running out the tank and back it up, i am fine with that too.. let me have it! lol...

i dont think you will hurt anything my mom does this all the time says her 1/2 tank is like the empty line.

the probs come in when you run it close to empty alot the fuel pump gets hot then when u fill it up all the way it burns the pump out doing that.

You are better off keeping it above 1/4. Put gas in whenever you want.

This is what I have been doing for a couple years... I usually try and fill up around the 1/2 way mark.

i HATE having to put my debit card in twice to fill up. Seems like it will hit the $65 or $75 limit then shut off.. then I'll put it back in and it will shut off after like $2.50

Just don't let it go below the 1/4 mark and you should be ok....
