02 F150 v8 5.4. Bad Coil

To give you a little background I got 3 sparkplugs and coils changed in January by the Ford dealership by my house when I had a miss. Now I am at school and and had a miss on the second cylinder, not one that was replaced, and the service guy at the ford dealership told me that it was a bad coil, BUT that I needed a full tuneup and would need all of my coil boots replaced (he said they were dry rotted) and everything else there is to be done with a full tune up. It will cost me 250 to do the coil change and 1000 to do the full tune up. Am I just being had, or is this a decent idea? Thanks a lot.

In some cases once one coil starts to fail, the rest follow within a short time. In that case, its best to just replace all of them as preventive maintenance. $100 will get you a full set of coils from uneek or global automotive on ebay. Lots of people use them around here. Id say save your money and do them yourself.
