Yesterday I tried to start my 2003 and it started but cut off. I tried restarting to no avail. When i try to start it the motor turns over slowly and the lights on dash and interior go out. I checked battery and even installed a new 1000ca battery and the same problems exist, slow turning over , lights go out. Any suggestions.

Connections. The starter is obviously working but not getting enough power. Check/clean all connections especially the one on the starter they have a tendency to corrode especially if you live in a northern area that road salt gets used.

 

Is your 'theft' light staying on or the odometer have a '------' reading?

 

That's a battery thing. A dead battery or your cables shot/ very bad connection at the starter.
