How many trucks here screwed up by INJECTOR ISSUE?

I thought it would be interesting to see just how many people here have had injectors stick open and the amount of damage done.

I'll start....

My #3 injector stuck open and blew 5" flames out the exhaust. It also took out the #3 spark plug and the ignition coil. My truck now sounds like a diesel around 2K RPMs and I'm still trying to figure out whats wrong with it. The truck was flawless up to the injector issue at 82K miles. 05 5.4L SCREW.

This is covered under the FORD warranty, why not take it in and make them fix it for free? If you need a rebuilt motor it's covered. The only thing they won't cover is the cost of the other 7 injectors which is stupid but just the way it is.

Ive got one on my 06. Not sure which injector is stuck open or closed. Im sure I will find out soon enough though. The diesel sound around 2k rpm is from the cam phasers I believe.

If you have an injector sticking open, you better not run the engine. You will hydrolock and destroy the engine.

Stealth got a new motor due to the open injector, compliments of Ford's extended injector warranty.

I had one stuck open, luckily my starter failed when I was trying to crank it so I didn't hydrolock my engine. Fixed under the extended warranty.
