I wouldn`t waste my time putting it in your truck. If you want the go fast feeling, buy a V-6 Camaro and drop it down in there, It would not only be faster but it would handle better also. I dont think you should put a chevy motor in a ford anyway. I could see if it was something older, but your truck is to new to tear apart, I think anyway.

I know a guy that can put a 6.0 in just about anything. Its not rocket science, it doesn't take 6 months to do! And it can be done for around $3000 unless you want a bunch of upgrades. A Ford truck with an LS engine is just about the perfect truck. The funny thing is I own 2 Ford trucks!!

Its your truck but a built motor with boost for what you will pay for all this will smoke that 6.0? You could also upgrade everything which you will need to do anyway and be way ahead.
Your money but saying this is better then that is totally false. Its what you spend that makes this better then that.
Wish you luck

Maybe so,,,, but how much would I have to spend to build a motor? A Chevy 6.0 is what 300hp factory? Play with the programing and get another 50-75hp, add a turbo and get another 100hp or so. For around $2500-3000 I could possibly get 450-475hp? Thats not bad in my opinion, and that's not even putting any parts in the motor. Granted I may be off on my numbers a little bit, but I can't be that far off.

I don't understand at all why people put chevy motors in fords. I guess you have it just sitting there so why not. However I wouldn't do it. Just once id like to go to a car show and see an old chevy with a mustang driveline under it. Good luck though.

I love the sentiment. And deleting a 3V is something many can relate to. That said, I'd want it very stock just due to the sentiment value. To me I'd be akin to loving a gal but wanting to "enhance" her into, well... not being her.anymore. But have fun - save your old parts. Maybe rebuild the 5.4 after..Have it handy in case of problems. I DO love turbos. Low stress engine unless your foot is in it. I get roots, but they don't fit my needs. And for me, a truck, can haul, but us tough and reliable. Those guys who buy fast trucks and don't care they give up towing toughness and such, should have gotten cars. But that's me, an old fogey. I hope in 20.years, you restore this with your saved parts. But as an interlude -well, burn rubber !
