Exclamation Bigger injectors, not sure what to get.

Recently my truck started to have a misfire, after replacing the coil packs and plugs, im left with one solution, the injector is bad. So I figure its a good excuse to get some bigger injectors. Im totally lost on what to get, I've only got simple mods, intake, exhaust, edge tuner on level 3, need some knowledge on what to get. I was thinking of getting these, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TF...%7cYear%7c1997 but im not sure.

larger injectors aren't needed unless you're making more power...

and if you can't keep fairly stock motor running right then you have no business trying to add more power

Unless you have a heavily modified engine, you are wasting money for bigger injectors.

I have a set of stock 19#ers for cheap with 55k on them, post an email address and I'll get a hold of you.
But, there are so many other things that can be wrong and injectors are commonly at the end of the list. The usual place to start looking is vac leaks and general maintenance....how old is your fuel filter? Not knowing is a bad thing.

Yea, 24's won't help yuh. Here's a chart -

New one , maybe. I didn't swap injectors until 185,000 miles. Not sure if the old ones were bad, - She ran a heel of allot better tho, -like night and day. It went from the heavy slug like feeling to being light and quicker.

BUT! I changed allot of other components at the same time. Coils, O2 sensors and went with a good HF dry element intake. So I can't point the finger at the injectors solely as the problem before. Just updating components to do with ignition, air/fuel ratios can do the trick. Maintaining those simple things like the PCV valve can definitely contribute. I would encourage you to invest the time to go thru it first and make sure your up to date with engine management parts and sensors.

I updated the injectors as part of the picture, - Reason = miles for one and the fact I found EV6's (19's) brand new on ebay for $65. Couldn't pass it up.

Good Luck

I scanned the codes on the truck, came up with a misfire in cylinder 7, got a new injector and now there is no misfire, but I think Ill save getting bigger injectors for when i do a engine build.
