Who dug this one up Jimbo ??

Actually, adding a blower CAN net you better mpg's. But, -it can also keep you at the pumps, -if you get carried away.

Built 5.4L's can net as much as 16 mpg's; from what I've read.

Actually that's pretty good. Maybe you should do that more often ?

Or maybe I should take a few pointers, - blunt and to the point pointers.

It varies. The downstreams can last the life of the truck. Upstreams... depends on the engine condition. Even then, they normally last a long time. My upstreams were original when one went out at 120k.

Well, honestly, you can acquire friends. Friends can be a valuable resource. One guy fished thru a junk yard and found a EGR reducer for me, -yea, didn't even ask; he new I was looking for one. -Granted he was going there anyway, but still.... A tech sent me service DVD's, - good ones! Didn't ask, they were offered. I have a list of phone numbers, just from this site. Different people specialize in different areas, so if you get stuck, there's options. There's other perks as well, from time to time.

Most of all, self gratification. You have to like what your doing.

So there's some value there.
