Ford F150 - 05 5.4 Triton Problem??

Engine seems to be missing, I have changed sparkplugs and Coil Packs. When it goes into the miss going up hill or trying to get power out of it. The A/C will quit blowing cold air immediately also, Any ideas???

Yes, 5.4L's don't use coil packs, -never have. Try installing coils instead, - for it is a COP system and requires individual coils to achieve proper ignition.

Good Luck.

it could be your Fuel Injectors, the 05 F150's with the 5.4 have had a problem with the Fuel Injectors going bad.....I have had all mine replaced, and they are now warranted for 100,000 K .

OK, To get the Idea...(Coil Packs) BLAH BLAH BLAH....THE INDIVIDUAL COILS (COIL PACKS) ON EACH CYLINDER ARE NEW AND INSTALLED, IF YOU DONT HAVE A CLUE DONT REPLY TO ME AND MOVE ON...Got to be kidding me, I HOPE YOUR NOT A MECHANIC.

You know what you talking about,,, if you look at my other retarded responses you will see....Anyhow...ANDY IDEA What would make my A/C shutdown and blow completely hot air....I know about the Fuel Injectors I have replaced two under warranty. How did you get all your fuel injectors replaced under warranty and surely they didnt all go out at one all of them at one time because They told me they would only replace under the warranty as they go out which didnt make much since to me and I would much rather have them all replaced since there is a known problem and warranty????????? Seemed like a defect to me as along with the spark plug problem which I am lucky I have 50 something thousand miles on my truck and they all came out and were replaced, and I cant say with no problem. The #4 broke and was taken out successfully and all were replaced with new. SUCCESS IN MY EYES from what I have seen.

Coil packs are in charge of more than one cylinder, -hence the word "pack". The 4.2L uses a pack and the older modular 4.6L V8's used coil packs thru 2000 in these 10th generation trucks.
The 5.4L's haven't used them since their inception (1997) and never have. They use dedicated coils. CoilOverPlug COP systems, -not packs. When you get that straight, you'll be that much further ahead in knowing what your talking about.
As far as me being a mechanic, well, -it doesn't really look like I need to be now does it....
