I have a 2006 f150 screw with 66000 miles. check engine light on code is p0605. I have a bad pcm, which will be covered by the emissions warranty. I came in with the code to the dealer, but they tell me they have to charge me 100.00 for them to pull the code and diagnosis. Am I obligated to pay for this. I thought all costs related to this covered repair should be on them.

 

They have to get paid if it ends up not being what you think it is. I would think once its diagnosed Ford might then pick up the tab but I dont know for sure.

 

They said they would pick up the tab on parts and labor...but not the diagnostic cost.

 

Well then you dont have much choice. You could contact ford directly and ask them.

 

Go read the emissions warranty, it should be in the owner's manual. It states what is covered.
