BUT! some how there are still threads so after a new plug and coil its back on the road..idk how long itll hold

WAIT! When i did my spark plug change one of my coils look like that!SHould i have replaced it? it been running like that scence 197,XXXmiles now 250,XXX
but my didnt break like your just the spring look like that.

hmm..id try to straighten it out, if its running fine just leave it.

im glad this didnt need a timesert, it was on the far back passenger side

same place for me too, but after i put everything back together and started her up after the change it sounded like if she was CAM it sounded good but i quickly shut off! then started up again then it stoped.

hmm..when i drove mine home on 7 cylinders it sounded cammed, wonder what was with yours lol

How many miles were on those plugs, they don't look very old. And were you the last one to change them?

Lucky the threads were still there.

plugs had around 30k on them, i changed them about 2.5 years ago :o

When #4 has primary ignition failure, it can sound like the motors coming undone,- from the inside out lol. Personally, I think #1 begins to slap hard (bottom stroke) when #4 goes. #1 is prone to piston slap.

Yea, their allot happier running on all 8, that's for sure.

I guess the only time mine sounded like it had a Big Cam is when the IAC sucked in a vacuum plug I forgot to remove, - jammed in the IAC opening. I still don't know it ended up there, but that's where I found it lol.
