How many quarts of oil?

Hello all,

I want to change my own oil. So my question to you is. How much oil should I buy? I have a 2007 5.4 F150. Any info would help. Thanks

Hello.

7 US quarts or 6.6 Litres.

Follow-up/Confirm with dipstick reading - let it sit for a while - approx halfway up in crosshatch area, no lower.

It's in the manual - if you don't have one you can view/download one from here: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...&menuIndex1=17

If you also change the filter, it is 7 quarts. All explained in the owner manual.

Yep, we need a "Which Oil Should I Use" thread. Something to get the blood pumping.

Agreed. Plan. Anything to beat this Synchronized Slacking, lol.

Mr.ToroFX2, sir! Would you care to begin one? Consider it a Rite of Passage
