Oil cap issue

Oil cap issue

Greetings. First post here, so hopefully I'm doing it correctly.

I bought an 03 f150 5.4 XLT a week or so ago. I wanted to start fresh and change the oil. When I popped the hood, I notice the oil cap was missing. I tried two of the caps the dealership had for the truck but both didn't fit. A buddy of mine suggested that the neck coming up from the engine is an attachment and just needs to be taken off... Wanted to get some input here and see if anyone else knows what's going on... Thanks!

Ps... I would attach a photo of it, but I don't see anything that allows me to...
