Hey All! Was wondering if anyone could help me out? I've got a Cyl 6 and 7 misfire. I took the coil and spark plug out for both and noticed that the plug was full of dirt and some water. I cleaned the plugs with brake cleaner (cause i just put them in bout 6 months ago) and cleaned the coils. I put them back in and started the truck, and it did well for a bit....then the same thing. Anyone have an idea of what it is? I'm thinking new coils, but I don't know. I've been told that the Fords have a roadspray issue with the plugs (thanks to design). Any help is greatly appreciated! Oh, one more thing.......if it's the coils, aftermarket or stick with oem? THANKS!

 

Use only Motorcraft plugs. Get a set of coils from Ebay:
