Question 98 4.6 stalls

98 f-150 4.6 125k miles 4x4. drove 25 miles yesterday ran great.started home about 1 mile later and it just died. sit 15 minutes and fired right up.1-2 miles and died again.sit 30 minutes started up and drove 20 miles home just fine.no codes fuel pressure 30. any info greatly appreciated.

fuel pump relay? fuel filter? MAF?

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Yea your almost out as far as pressure, 29 is bad, so 30 is right at the edge.

Sounds like the filter to me as well.

If the fuel pressure is marginal, it's either the filter or a weak fuel pump - or the fuel pressure regulator. How low do you run the tank before you fill it?
