Its still oil that has to be disposed of. Not a tree hugger, just a fact. I also never said it hurts the engine, who would? I'm just saying it's wasteful. Oil spent in 2,000 miles?? You had an analysis done I'm assuming. If so, sounds like you've got engne troubles.

Disposed of? I brought in 60 gallons recently, it went right into a stove used for heat. I had to dump it lol. I'm not sure what other methods are used to recycle or dispose of.

My engine doesn't lube to well with moisture contamination lol, I don't need third party analysis when I can see it, right under the oil cap, - analysis complete.

Like I said, It depends how you run your engine - short trips and cold climates contaminate the oil when it doesn't have the time to complete/burn off cominants, - go full cycle.

If you run your engine long enough, then yes, -this doesn't apply.

It's like labnerd posted on page one. It doesn't take long when your unable to go full cycle, which sucks.

I know what your saying, but it's not all bad.

BTW- I have NO engine problems and with my miles, I like to think it's because of the regimen or bi-laws that I follow. I recall words you said to me along time to ago - "It seems to be working for you". For some screwed up reason, I haven't forgot that.

It still is man.

i change mine at about 2500 just because lol, my mama changes hers 5-6k because she drives a 4cyl ALL highway about 100 miles a day. my daddy changes his at 7-8k because they did oil samples at his work one day and they said thats when oil tends to start breaking down. i was like OK your truck! ill still change mine at 2500 because thats about the milage i get in about 3 months or so.

i make ALOT of short trips, and it doesnt get to cold here, and who cares if you change your oil at 500 miles? its not your money, just let em go
