351W air 'in the head' or 'in the manifold'?
Hi all, new to the forum here and have a noob question, I am looking to R&R my engine and tranny in my '96 F250 4x4. Although I am not new to pulling and dropping in an engine (my hobby car is a 1993 Thunderbird SC which run's mid 12s), this Windsor is new to me. SO, in order to make sure I get the most compatible engine to drop in I need to determine if my set-up has air in the head or manifold. How do I tell?
P.S. Yes, I used the search function, but when using words like air, head, and manifold I get back 500 results. lol

I'll look up in the Chilton's book where the air injection pump is. Regarding the exhaust manifolds though, I see a tube coming out the rear of the driver's manifold and the front of the passenger's manifold (or vice versa, been a couple days since I looked at it) I wasn't sure if these are perhaps for EGR. If it isn't EGR then I have my answer.
