I cut the lines on a 01 filter, they used a Fram. After I cut it off, it still was a PITA getting those clamps to release in a vise.

It was just kind of awkward...I was able to get the front line off ok using the quick release tool, but with the gas tank and torsion bar in the way, it was tough to get good leverage to get the back line off the filter. I figured out late in the game that you gotta kinda use a wiggling action with the tool ( ) to get it out.

..and I think I need to hit the gym more often too...fighting with that thing made me feel like a dang weakling! lol

with your arms above your head you lose strength REAL quick!!!!

Try a fuel filter on a 6.0 or a Cummins... you dont leave unless your right arm is covered and the complete right side of your shirt. DEEZUL!!!

Yea, don't let it kick your ass. I swear my face got red, well felt like I was on fire right before I hacked the damn thing off lol. Don't need to hit the gym, I had enough power left to beat it after wards.

I have a pic of that somewheres, I'll try to find it.

EDIT -
