So a while ago i decided i was gonna drop the fivefour and put in a LS6 . Easy to make power on. 1 Cam, Good flowing heads, Aftermarket is dirty stupid cheap, and i like to be original. I think ima go TH350. I got my Friend welding everything up. Just waiting on the Trans and Motor to be finished so we can start fabbing up the stuff

Kind of sacrilegious dont you think? But I will agree with you on one thing, LS motors are stupid cheap to mod and make great power.

Too bad you can't wait - I think the new 6.2L Boss engine is going to be the engine you wish you had in your truck!

We are gonna run a stand alone engine management, i think we are gonna keep the C.O.P set up and run a Speed density set up. The bottom end is Manley Pistons with Manley rods. Manley Timing Chain. Manley Pushrods. it has a 236/242 cam. I have ported and Polished Heads with ARP Head studs, Dual Valve springs. Nitrous kit should be in soon, 150 shot with a progressive kit to get the second stage going. hoping for 250 in total.

Ford is gonna want stupid money for that motor. maybe around 3-4 thousand for the long block with sensor and without harness. I got everything i needed motor and trans and Harness for $1500. I could have kept it stock. there good for 600hp. But since it was out. I just 2k into the motor, and i am where i am now. truck should make 400-430 on the motor. maybe 600-650 on the nitrous. 11:1 compression, big cam, and alot of Nitrous is the way im doing this.

It shouldn't be bad. we looked at it. the way the LSx series motors sit. they sit pretty easy for fabbing. the driveshaft is where i have to get creative.

why not keep it all in the family and go with a 460, or better yet 540.

Your not the first guy to put chevy junk in his ford. There are LOTS of Ford options that really wouldnt have been that much more. 351 windsors are plentiful and cheap, Weak.. Should have just started out with a chevy.
