Darn water puddles

Had my first mis-fire yesterday. Pretty much new what caused it went through some mega water holes the day before. You know the one's where the water shoots out 50 feet from the tires and when you turn the windsheild fills with so much water you can't even see with the wiper's on. Here in Abilene the streets are the drains, above ground drainage.

I checked coils 6 & 7 first then thought to myself it should be the rightside giving me problem cause it was the rightside wheels that hit the water hard. So I check the rightside coils and all check good. So I hit autozone for a code check and got a P0305 on #5 and that's Murphy's law, the one I didn't check. When I pull the coil the boot was loose in the hole allowing water to get in, blew it out and in went a new boot and should be good to go next time I hit the water.

Runs like new again and I got to get one of those little scanners.

Did you use dielectric grease? You should... inside the boot and around any seams. Just make sure you don't get any on top of the plug where the spring connects.
