can anyone help me find where my spark plugs are located on 97 f150
I'm not sure you should be replacing the spark plugs (as opposed to having someone do it) if you don't even know where they are. They are not like changing the plug on a lawn mower. Follow your spark plug wires (or Coil on plug if it's a 5.4) and underneath there you'll find the plugs BURIED deep in a hole. You should read up more on changing them though so you don't end up in deep trouble. That's what all too many people do, get in the deep dodo and come find a forum to try and undo the mess they've gotten into.

Yep...I changed mine on a 97 5.4 and they can be a pain in the rear.

They are under the COP (coil over plug) on the 5.4 liter just under the fuel rail. Alot of people say you need to remove the fuel rails but it is not necessary. You can remove them but it does make it easier if the Fuel rails are not in the way. Also, if the plugs have not been changed in a long time (like 80 or 100K) there is the risk of breaking them off into the head. If your a novice I would recommend you have it done.

i guess i'll be the first and say make sure you stick with the stock motorcraft plugs, go to rockauto.com and buy them there, they're cheaper through them. what engine? and mileage? make sure the shop torques the plugs somewhere between 28 and 32 ftlbs. dry. this will prevent blowouts.
4by4trux-the 2v has the blow out issue, not the breaking issue.
