no spark no fuel pump...help

i got a 2000 f150 and we pulled the motor and dash apart to do some work to it...hooked it all back up and it cranks overs but the fuel pump isnt turning on and we are getting no spark...fuel is at the rails and the pcm is sending signal to the fuel pump relay...it has the stupid PATS system in it...we are about to give up and drop in a 351 or ls1 ...it is a offroad dezert race truck by the way..

Have you checked the inertia switch?

its a 5.4l forgot to mention....where is the intertia switch located exactly?...

Are you sure the pump isn't getting powered? It will only power up very briefly when the key is in the on position when the engine isn't running. So when you troubleshoot it, you have to be right there at the connector to test for power when someone first turns the key on or while the engine is cranking.

If you have fuel at the rail, I would think your pump is working.

Behind the kick panel, passenger side....it is easily removable.

ok got the truck to turn on but it wont stay running....we had a bad relay a bad pcm and a ground was bad to the instrument cluster...should be ready to go today
