Heater core... is this my problem?

This question is for my 97 expedition eddie bauer 4x4 w/ the 5.4. Has 203K miles on it and my brother drove it for some time and now its leaking antifreeze somewhere and the heat does not work nor the a/c. the only time i can get cool air or warm air is if i put in some water or coolant. all hoses look and everything seems fine so im guessing its prolly my heater core right?? i heard these are a pain, so if anyone has any tips on how to replace it and where exactly to locate it please let me know.
also, does anyone know how much a shop would typically charge to replace this? if i feel like putting it off i may just let someone else do it. thanks guys!

Most likely so. Do you smell any antifreeze in your cab? Also, another indication is foggy windows. Turn you heater on defrost if it is leaking it will usually fog up the windsheild.
