just goes to show how much i don't know about the mechanical aspects and know how required to do this swap, which is why i'm dam lucky for sites like these so i know exactly what i need to make everything sooo much easier for myself
I know a major hurtle you'll be looking at. 99+ pretty much across the board used digital odometer, 97/98 was analog. last i checked that alone had never been confirmed successfully swapped, again thats to my knowledge. more to do with the GEM module? i looked into taking my gem out to do a modification to the wiring behind it (tap it where i cant see it) and that looked like as much of a headache as a heater core so i disbanded that.
anyone out there know if I can use the svt gauge cluster if I swap out the powertrain and all the pcm's and ecu's from my 97?
you'll need the complete wiring and everything from the '99+ truck, way more hassle than it's worth

can I even fit the overlay onto the 97 cluster? I don't need the psi gauge I can just put one of those onto my A pillar, but I really hate how boring the 97 cluster looks and the sct overlay is so much nicer
