Angry 65,000 miles with no oil change

guy said he heard a pop. the pop was a rod going through the side of the block. we snatched the motor out. when we pulled the drain plug nothing came out. so we pulled the oil pan and this is what we found. rod bearings in the pan, caps, and[IMG][/IMG] various chunks of metal everywhere. the oil is beyond sludged. it wont even run down your finger. oh and did i mention its a brand new king ranch 6.4 dually? yeah ouch. ford is covering it under warranty though. i cant beleive it.

wowi'm surprised the motor lasted that long.
i thought it was bad when my sister went 32000 miles without an oil change in her jeep cherokee 4.0 but her motor was still good.

Hell, when I took the oil pan off my Windsor with 150,000 miles on it there was not a sign of ANY sludge. The whole bottom end was CLEAN and the oil pan didn't even have those black streaks on the sides. Guess it pays off to change your oil.

Yeah, and Ford and International are the bad guys when it comes to Powerstrokes.

I'm really surprised they're covering it. I've had less than that shot down on gas engines before.

This is why I will never buy a used vehicle. Looks good on the out side, but what's the inside of the engine look like? Stupid, lazy people.
