That's funny,,,I could of bought 3 new trucks by now with the money I've spent on my truck over the last 5 years .
I removed the front dif and T case long ago but the rear just cost me close to 1500. to rebuild. The motor a lot!

No it wouldn't! I don't even like the look of the new trucks much and my 03 only has 30,000 miles on it.
The motor only has 1000 on it.

I hear yuh, Ford should have some kind of design contest, then let the general population vote in the next body style. I've seen some nice sketch ups.

Yea, your sitting pretty with that truck. How many punks have pulled up beside you with those big cheater slicks and no mufflers thinking their all that lol.

I bet you've put many to shame. ~

That kind of stuff is priceless

Thanks FRod,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I think..

jbrew,
I haven't had many jerks play with me on the street.
But I think I really upset this guy at the track ,last time I was there.
I was in the staging lane waiting my turn and he pulled in next to me is this beautiful red mustang,(I was checking him out big time,,red is my color and it was really different and hot looking.)So hes out lowering the air in his tires and going over his car (I'm sitting next to him with the windows down just chillin)when his friends come up to him and start talking. I guise they asked him how he thought he would do today and he says.(look around,I'm probably the slowest one here.
There was a lot of hot cars there that day.
So I was trying to be friendly(I thought or maybe I was just setting him up..lol) And I look over and say ( well surly you'll out run this big heavy truck)
He just kinda said ,yeah, and went on with what he was doing.
So by the time I get up there to race he ends up right next to me and were going to run.(I'm thinking oh well,,guise we'll see) he dose have a cent blower so he should be pretty fast.
Off we go (I got him big time on the reaction time and I'm 3 or 4 cars ahead of him.) Little bit past the 1/8th hes coming on strong and I'm looking over bouncing my head back and forth like I'm pushing my truck.
So now were side by side and about to go through the lights and I'm laughing so hard ,looking out the window I almost forgot to hit the breaks.
I beat him to the line just barley and when I got the times he beat me by one 10th!
He wouldn't even look at me in the pits
I cooled down a little ,went back and made a nitrous pass and ran 4.5 10ths faster then the last pass.

Phil

Frod, save your MAF and injector upgrades for forced induction time, for budget friendly you can run 24# injectors pn your stock MAf and fuel pump (I did, but it wasn't worth it for the hp/tq I gained)

listen to phil about the stage 2 work to your heads, coupled with your cams and good springs when it comes time for boost you'll be good to go (unless you go turbo)

ya but than if i did go boost wouldnt i need to get the block forged? How do you guys feel about machine porting? I found a guy that does great work aparently, unfortunetly he doesnt have stage porting but he can tell me the CFM unaccurately. I have a freind with machine ported PI heads and he said it woke the 4.6 right up and the throttle responce got hella better. The machine shop said he would port mine as much as he can safely for $500 without springs (i have my own new in box comp cam behive springs). Is this a good idea? Would it be worth it?

i mean forged internals sorry. Well theres this place called Simons Balancing that im seeing alot of mustang guys go to for their head work and i didnt really understand what they said but they can port, there are no stages that they refer to, it is a big increase and they wont be able to tell you the CFM increase and its not CNC ported like the place you showed me. They said its machined...Thats about it...Here is their website. If i provide my own springs and assemble myself, they will do it for $400 so im really tempted to but i dont want it to be a small chinsey port job that barely does anything ya know...

http://www.simonsbalancing.com/

let me know if i should go for this, because i dont have 2 grand for heads haha!

For 400 bucks I don't hardly see where you could go wrong. Go for it.

Only thing i am worried about (besides putting this together myself) is, will my edge one 92 performance setting still need to be custom tuned for the ported heads and cams? I also plan on getting a aluminum PI intake and porting it along with the plenum and throttle body. (thanks on that one jbrew) But i was cerious as to what fordfuelinjection.com was talking about.

If your vehicle has stock heads, intake, or both, installing a larger cam is a waste of time and money. On the other hand, if you’ve got a good matched set of high flow cylinder heads and intake, a cam change can be worth the effort.

Does this mean they have to match exactly? So than i should get heads ported first to match the intake with and try to match with the plenum to throttle body?
