2005 f150 running rough

I have an '05 f150 with the 4.6 v8. 49k miles. It started running really rough today. I changed the plugs and got no improvment. It wants to die when I come to a stop. When I try to acclerate I have to floor it to get it to move and then once I'm going about 35 it smooths out a little. Black smoke out the exhaust....more with slower idle. Seems like its running rich but I have to give it a ton of gas to keep it going at low idle. Any ideas? Injectors? Thanks for any insight, John

engine light did finally come on. Dont have a scanner. I noticed there are a ton of issues with 2005 f150 injectors online. I crawled under to look at the cats and noticed that after sitting off for an hour the one was much hotter to the touch than the other. Makes me think maybe it's an injector open or leaking by

Unless you are in California, Autozone scans codes free.

I had similar problem with my 2005 5.4L. Took it to the dealer and it was a stuck injector. There was a notice mailed on the injectors awhile back. Free service at dealership to fix.

Autozone near me in Ohio said they don't scan codes? Took to the dealer b/c a buddy of mine said it may be emissions...so it's still covered. The said the code was fuel rail pressure sensor. Replaced it. Still have the code. They want another $500 plus just to find out what is wrong. They told me that the fuel was going past the injectors. How does that happen???Where does it go? I was told that the computer says that there is 100psi on the fuel rail and the gauges they hooked up read 22psi. Should run at 39. They are at a loss & I'm getting pissed
