i dont see any way to get all of the gold anitfreeze out of the engine when the radiator is drained and it specifically states do not mix with other coolants in your powerstroke engine.
Yeah, you can buy it outside of Ford. Look for the HOAT label (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology). As long as it has this label, it is the exact same fluid. The color makes no difference as the same fluid in a Chrysler is orange. Ford uses the exact same fluid but uses a yellow dye. Life expectancy is the issue. Change the fluid every 5 years or 150,000 miles.
Did you try a truck shop or truck stop?
Wally world, Napa, any others?
yes none of them carry it.

glc An 07 is not ready for a change unless it has 100k on it. Wait till you can get to the dealer if you can't find it in a parts store.
its an 06 and has over 105 k on it. it has had an water leaking problem out of the degauss bottle cap from over filling because ford has it labeled wrong and i didnt know that and has had about 4 gallons of water added to it for about a 6 months now and its been running hot here lately with the 100 deg weather around here which is why im looking to change it out with new coolant in the correct percentage not to mention its due for a coolant change with the miles it has on it.

the only thing companies carry around here is prestone antifreeze. does it matter that its going in a diesel powerstroke engine and not a gasser? i know ford says it has to have the wss-m97b51-a1 code on it to be compatible with parts that are inside of the engine so it doesnt cause premature engine failures or corrosion.
NAPA usually carries the Zerex g05 or if you can find Peak at WalMart look for Peak Global Lifetime. Both carry the Ford approved spec. I have no info about Prestone products but if it has the Ford spec on the bottle, it will work.
thanks guys i found a napa around here that had zerex g05 and got 4 gallons of it and some distilled water and changed it out and flushed it a few times. the zerex is a lot cheaper than the motorcraft price.
i needed to change it the truck has 105k mi on it and has been running hotter than normal lately around 206 deg on the hwy at 65mph with no load on it. and i hate going to a dealer for anything.
