getting a tool in there is next to impossible. I had goodluck with a big pair of channel-locks, coming from the front end. Make sure you use a thread sealant upon installation of new unit. Since you cant really get a good angle from a wrench on this part, you need all the help you can get to avoid it from threading out on its own. thred sealant will lock it in place

i will try it in the am...

Hi jbrew,

thx, i will try this in the daylight. i was trying to see it this evening,
but it seemed to be hidden behind the oil filter...

also, as you speak of the fragile nature of the connection, how can i remove it not having done it before to assure i dont ruin it? i was thinking to disconnect and clean it up...

all suggestions appreciated, jackc...

Well, I can only get my hand on it from under the truck. Hit the connector with electrical contact cleaner/ if you have compressed air -blow it clean. Then hit it with SeaFoams "Deep Creep" or WD40/ let it soak for a moment, then shoot it with compressed air again to work it into those hard to get areas.

There's just 1 wire going to that connector (point of info) - Look at it well to see how it disconnects,- you'll be able to. That wire disappears into the harness around the cam sensor somewhere. -I would check it out thoroughly befor screwing with it, you might find a bare wire/damaged harness somewhere along the line that would effect the sender. So look around first.

oil pressure sensor resolution

Hi folks,

I just wanted to post the resolution for anyone following. While it was tough to see, i could see oil on the connection to the oil sensor. I replaced the sensor and all was well for a $12 part.

hth, jackc...

Just one, don't drive it , start or crank it until you find the problem.
