Fuel filter specs (microns???)

Does anyone know what the filtering size (microns) is for a stock fuel filter (01 Supercrew, 5.4l)? I am running all new fuel cell/lines/pump/filters etc, and I am wondering whether to go with a 10 micron or 40 micron filter after the pump. I tried searching, and I couldn't find any info anywhere. Thanks!

Ford fuel filter specs call for multi point injection system to have a maximum rating of 10 microns absolute. Smaller is much better and filters of 5 microns absolute is preferred. A particulate of 40 microns will not go thru an injector and will cause permanent damage.

Thanks for the info! That is what I figured- I will run a 100 micron filter before the fuel pump, and a 10 micron filter after the pump.
