4.6L V8 stalls at idle??? + other problems

Just picked up my '06 a few days ago.

Truck drove awesome for the first few days but tonight I wanted to clean off the battery terminals to see if I could get it to start up a little quicker.

I disconnected all the battery terminals and went for a drive, after putting in some fresh gas, the truck started stalling at idle. It did this 2-3 times and was fine for the rest of the night.

Did my disconnecting the battery cause a reset and the truck had to relearn idle?

Also, my anti-freeze/coolant is brownish/orange, is this a normal color? I'm used to seeing green.

Thanks!

The terminals on this truck were disgusting. Unfortunately it did not improve the start time, still takes 2-3 seconds of cranking to start up, definitely not as quick as my Honda but I'm not very worried. I have a snarling suspicion that this the original 2006 battery!

Clogged fuel filter would have been my second best guess...

I believe it may also be caused by a vacuum leak as well as other things.

Hey guys...9 out of 10 times it IS the throttlebody, when i first got my 04 screw, mine actually had to be replaced becuase it would stall at lights and run rough. Also, I am at 140k now and awhile back it caused a check engine light to come on and I cleaned it and it was pretty gunky, but after cleaning it, the truck runs fine! Hope this helps you out!

How exactly do throttle bodies get all nasty looking like I've seen on this site? Mines got 23000 miles on it and it still looks brand new.
