I6 to V8

ok i have a 1993 f150 5 speed straight 6. does anyone know if a 1993 5.0L V8 automatic from a bronco will bolt to my stright 6 standard transmission?

I would imagine an I6 and a V8 would have different bellhousings for sure. So, you'll probably need to get a bellhousing from a 302/351 equipped truck with a 5-speed.

The 4.9 and 5.0 have the same bolt pattern so it'll bolt up. There's obviously more to the swap than that, but you can use your trans. If you're going to the trouble of an engine swap, why not a 5.8?

changing all the EFI stuff will be a chore..
