And yes, Motorcraft Plugs from Autozone to go under the coils...
If Autozone doesn't have them for some reason, will probably go with NGK Platinums.
Pay the extra, go to the dealer and buy the MC's. Besides the NGK Plats are not cheap.
I like NGK's but only in my son's 4-wheeler or snowmobile's.

It'd depend on the dealer thing. The NGK Platinums are the same price at the MC's, $3.

NGK
Motorcraft

The new Motorcraft plugs went in last night, and the new coils tonight. My dad said the truck feels like it has more power than it did, which makes sense since the other plugs looked fried and some of the coils weren't working. He is going to call me tomorrow after he drives it to and from work (about 100 miles round-trip) and let me know how everything went.

Looking forward to the report. I assume that your Dad disconnected the battery to do the work. By doing that he also reset the PCM, which is a good thing.

He didn't reset the computer, but he will (light is still on). Other than that though, he said it's running smooth and the gas mileage is incredible!

Excellent news.
I'm really surprised he didn't disconnect the battery during the swap.

You didn't by chance get a look at those coils before install did yuh? I'm just curious what Uneek sells. The OEM upgrades say "GAMMA" in white capital letters on the backside.

I haven't had a problem with mine either. I used Globals , Installed them last winter. I bet Uneek Supply sells the same, -haven't confirmed that tho.

Glad it worked out

Getting ready to do the first tune up in a couple of years. The truck is in need of new plugs, and was going to put some fresh COP's on as well while I'm at it. I cannot find "Uneek" on ebay anywhere as this thread suggested in Feb. Can anyone direct me to these Global COPs with a link? Thanks

I didn't, as I didn't install them. I just did the computer work for pops and he installed them when they arrived.

Thanks!
