OK i'll ask (might regret that)
here's long version
traded for a 97 f250(ld) 5.4L.
Guy I got it from said he took off head to fix a stripped plug hole and when he re-installed didn't have right tools to time the cams and thinks he bent a valve. Shops want more then he could afford to fix it and he didn't want to try again ... the trade with me for running car.
I checked compression and one of the cly on side he did has 0 compression.
Also checked timing marks and it's a few degrees off. A buddy had a 5.4 Head At his shop and has a OTC cam timing tool kit. So I thought it would be a cheap fix for me (gasket, head bolts) But I come to find out this other Head is a PI and the motor is non-PI. So now I'm not sure it will work?

Ok,,you can not use just 1 PI head. You would need both heads and a PI intake manifold to make it work. You would also need a tune for the computer to make it run 100%.
Or find 1 non PI head.

I was afraid that was going to be the answer.
Another question if you don't mind?
any worries (exhaust, harness, comp) doing a swap with a 2000 f150 5.4?
Wife found one from a rolled truck reasonable with <1/2 the miles of the one.

shouldnt be a problem doing the rolled 5.4 swap

just use your stock harness and computer and everything will be just fine.

I take that back tho, 2000 is PI, so you'd need to retune your computer to run PI, and use the PI harness. Or you would have to retune the PI computer to match the VIN# on the truck.
