PCV Elbow

On a 02' 5.4 and the infamous PCV elbow on the back of throttle body.

can that elbow be gotten by it self? If so what is the part #? & is it a Ford only item?

I stopped at the dealership and what they wanted to sell me was the whole line elbow and PVC...for $74.70 (part # 2L3Z-6C324-AA).

so far mine isn't bad but I've got some miles on it would like to change it out before it goes completely bad

I have heard you can get one that works at the auto parts store "help" section for around 5 bucks.

I don't have the 5.4 so I don't know for sure, but I'm sure some body will chime in.

Good luck.

That's what happens when you have more experience with P-traps vs Engines.

Just make sure you get the right valve for your model year. Either cold climate or standard. I believe all 02's are cold climate systems which take a different valve. The valve is wrapped with a coolant system line. You'll have to look to see what you have.

yes its cold climate PCV...and I'm looking the valve itself....just the elbow on the back side of the engine, near the fire wall.

rockauto.com has it. Look under emmission. Dorman #46017
This did not come up with anything related to the PCV

The Dorman 46017 elbow is for 97's and 98's. I dunno, it might work on a 2002?

I know the elbows are quite different, in shape and length on the 97-98. Also the 99. 00 and up, the composite intakes had a long neck out the back, So the hardline and elbow were different shaped.. Not that you couldnt make it work though? Not sure. I wasnt able to mix match mine when I did my swap, don't remember why though. Maybe the end was bigger or something.

That's the elbow at the pcv valve. He's looking for the elbow that goes into the back of the intake. Think he's going to end up at the dealership.

Short answer - probably not unless one of the Dorman elbows works. However, the prices we've been seeing for the whole assembly are in the $30's, not 75 bucks.

You have the Ford part number - try tascaparts.com.

The composites don't have an elbow back there, it's more like a slightly bent rubber tube. I believe the bend is with hard line on those. Might be able to match it up at an auto supply. Also, Ford relocated those at the intake.

went to tascaparts....did finally get a price.... $60. to my door....but it was this whole "kit" again PCV hose and coupling. Not $30

their "emissions" tab did not offer anything related to the PCV except the purge canister and valve...the only way I found it was searching the parts number tab/box on the lower side of the home page.
