i am very very happy with how it ran last night. It was an adventure all night. I pulled it off the trailer and went to tech and then pulled in the lanes. When i went to start it back up to make a pass it didnt want to start, i finally got it started and it didnt feel right at all. I went out and rolled off the line and it broke up really bad so i went to the trailer. I pulled all the plugs and they all looked fine but the passanger side back had water in it whe i pulled the boot off it. I guess condensation from the intercooler lines dripped down in their and caused a misfire. I got it dried out and went to make another pass, it was running a lot better, so i went back out and rolled off the line once more and took it easy just to make sure everything was ok and it ran great i think it was an 8.0.

This is where things got interesting. I went back after my second pass and ran ice through it and let it cool down. I used all my ice and they were getting ready to close so i went for one last pass. I told my buddy i was going to give it hell and see what it does. I pulled out on the track and did a nice long burnout and got the hoosiers good and sticky. I pulled into the first beam and started to stall it up and it started pushing it so i pulled into the second beam and pushed the ebrake to the floor. With the ebrake on i held the brakes and brought it to 2000 on the last yellow light i pulled the ebrake and smashed it. i thought i was going throught the back window it left so hard. When i passed the board i was all pumped up when i seen my time.

I never thought it would ever run this fast with just the 4lber and a 2.8. My next move is suspension, i am going to do front drag springs, qa1's, fiberglass leafs and front bogarts to match the rear. And slip a new billet grill and a clear set of lightning headlights to dress it up a little. I am going to leave the boost where it is for right now and see what i can do with this combo. I think i might go and get a tune with c16 just to get a little more powa out of her. I called my tuner last night and he was blown away it ran that fast with less than 400 miles on the motor. I will get some pics of the truck with her dancing shoes on and the slip tonight. My camera was dead when i got to the track, go figure. Thanks for all the coments

After looking at the truck after taking a picture i realized i have a 4x4. This thing needs to go down bad, i guess between rushing around when i put the slicks on i didnt realize how bad it looks with them on. They look tiny on their and they are 28's. I always thought it looked ok with the L wheels on but it looks like a 4x4 with the slicks on. I think a billet grill and a clear set of L headlights would really clean the front end up.
A pic of the truck and my new personal best

Brian (POSI) that did the blower told me today that it would drop even more. He said as soon as i put a bigger pulley on it torque is going to shoot up and give it tons more down low. I want to get the full benefit out if this setup and get the suspension dialed in before i throw more boost at it.

i think the fiberglass springs and drag shocks will give you lots of rear plant, I'm glad it's working out good for ya, you can even upgrade to a sheet metal upper plenium if you want to get even more out of your current pulley combo and then keep at the suspension

have you considered front drag coils? like some of the JDM built trucks use??? they are supposed to help with the weight transfer rearward I'd like a set but since mine is more street I am sticking with the Harley coils

They say the jdm drag springs are just v6 coils but unless I went to a junkyard and took them out myself I would never trust them saying they were from a v6. I will probably just call jdm or see if JL sells them. From what I have read the fiberglass springs are the ticket to good 60ft but a good set of adjustable shocks are needed to keep them from bouncing on the street. I have a set of rancho's that I have had forever that are adjustable that worked so far. The plan is fix the rear, coils, front qa1's, fiberglass leafs, and a race tune.

I havent seen any info on the sheet metal upper plenums on an eaton. What kind of numbers have you seen with them? I have the c&l plenum that POSI worked on so i know it flows but know i am wondering what a JLP plenum would do. If i could sell my plenum for a decent price i would probably buy one. I found one for sale, that is what got me thinking about this.

cttopgun runs one, he said he didn't see any dyno numbers increase with it BUT his track times did

also according to JDM, thier drag springs are different from the V-6 springs

Time for the bottle

I pulled the nitrous kit off the truck when i was trying to finish up the L swap. It was always in my way and i wanted to do a cleaner install and hide it again. I started the install today. I am kicking the idea around of installing the zex box and purge in the wiper cowl and drill and tap the back of the plenum. I have seen a plenum spacer before was 1/2" thick that would be perfect to drill and tap so the nozzle was behind it. It would suck to change jets but it wouldnt be a problem. I think with it behind the plenum it would not be seen, most people look at the intake or around the TB when looking for spray. I mounted the bottle in the bed and will probably get another set of brackets and put them back behind the passanger seat so i can pull the line out, run it in the cab and put the bottle in their and say i took the nitrous off.
A pic of todays progress
