97 4.6 Misfire -Coil, Injector???

I have scowered the previous post to diagnosis my problem, just want to run by everyone my conclusions.

Misfire cyl 4. Truck does run like crap. Previous owner claims new wires and plugs but admits cyl 4 was too hard and may not have changed plug.

Swaped plug, no change. Wires look good. Ohm on all injectors reads 18, all good. Ohm on coil pack, primary .1 both coils, secondary 2000 both coils. Should be .3-1primary, 6500-11000 right?

My questions are these, both coils below specs, is that common. Second, I don't like to throw parts at a problem but for about $250 I can replace all injectors, wires, plugs and coils. Can't afford a professional wrench to do it..... one son torn ACL bills and oldest passed away 4 months ago and I'm paying those bills too. I can swing the $250 and for that matter the truck could probably use it, but again, I need the wife's truck running better and don't want to go thru all of this to end up dropping $250 more.

I appreciate any input.

I would go in steps. Replace all the plugs with good ones. Motor craft. Densco's are known to be ok. Then do the wires. Then the coils. Then replace the injectors last. You could throw a injector on the effected cylinder. You could also start off with a compression check on that cylinder to make sure its good.

I appreciate the response. What about the coil readings?

I've never tested them. I have seen where tests dont really seem to be reliable. They test good but still cause missfires. On coil on plug engines you can switch them and see if it moves but I dont think you can do that with the coil pack ignition. I would think you got a bad wire first. I do know guys have had bad luck with aftermarket wires on those ignitions. They like motorcraft wires.

You can swap the coil packs from side to side and see if the miss moves to another cylinder. There's no difference between the 2 packs.
