im not sure whether the key is made out of a hardened steel, but im pretty sure you could knock the old key out, get new key stock and get to work. the real hang up would be verifying its standard key stock or if its "special"

yep i think we are doing that tommorrow while my blocks at the other shopeven though the cams i got are pretty huge.they will provide plenty of top end power
hey my new cams which are comp cams 102600, have like a key slot on the end of the cams but my factory cam gears dont have any keyway slots...do i need aftermarket cam gears or do the factory ones come off and work.....also my friend with a 95 5.0 mustang wants to know if a fox body throttle body will work on his car, its an aftermarket bbk..please help ASAP...thanks
your stock cams are pressed on gears. there was some bolt on cam gears for mustangs around 99. you need those, and they need to be modified to allow you to index the cams correctly
well i found some adjustable cam gears from rpmoutlet and they are the comp cams gears..cant i just buy those and the gear install kit, and wont that take care of it?
I don't think the kit is worth the money, as it does not include the solid lifter, etc. I assume you are speaking of the Comp Cams kit. You can dig up what you need from your buds, etc, but you'll need the lifter. built54, help here?
