energon mpg booster

http://www.mpgbooster.com/[/url]
i was looking for fuel economy boosters and came across this. does anyone know anything about these things. it must be worth it if they can get a v10 to go from 9 mpg to 14 mpg. i don't think anything could get a v10 to do that good on fuel. but its nice to imagine getting that kind of fuel mileage.

Those are scams. They do absolutely nothing but lighten your wallet. The only way to save gas is slow down. That and easy acceleration. It's easy to get a V10 to go from 9 to 14 mpg, just let off the throttle a hair (75 instead of 78 mph, for example). There are too many unknowns to say it increased mileage that much.

If you want to spend money to get good gas mileage buy a cheap beater neon or escort. that will do it for sure.

Yeah, I've heard all sorts of crap about those MPG boosters.. if it smells like snake oil, it probably is. Are you getting the same MPG that you used to get with the truck?? With my 2000 used to be around 15-17 mpg, and had a drop to around 11-12. I'm replacing all the 02 sensors, cleaned out the TB and MAF, new drop in KN airfilter (which probably will do nothing, but figured with the cost of fuel so expensive, I can justify it now ) and in the process of that, found out that I need to replace my exhaust manifolds, so put in long tube headers with new high flow cats.. All of these things will boost your MPG to some degree, I'm hoping doing all of them at once will give me something noticeable! If nothing else, I will get an increase in HP, and the satisfaction of having replaced worn parts with new ones.

i never said i got one or wanted one i just posted a bs product just to see what people thought. and i put exhaust on my truck before i got it on the road so i cant say if that gave me a boost. but i'm getting a chip and a cai for better fuel mileage and power and possibly headers when i need exhaust manifolds.

No, i understand that! Your info says your truck is from 1993, so I was wondering if the mpg's have significantly decreased over your ownership of the truck, which is my scenario.. and I simply told you what I was doing in hopes of bringing up my mpg. Perhaps it was more info than necessary, i was just in a chatty mood Sounds like you were already on same track as me though.
