I'd check the torque converter bolts to make sure they're tight. Had the same issue with a CJ7 once...made that noise for a while and stranded me 500+ miles from home when the last one removed itself. I couldn;t figure out what it was until the Jeep went into neutral at 60MPH. Roadside repair was to tap the mangled bolt holes up a size. This resulted in the TC not running true on the flexplate any more...bad vibes and a leak developed at the TC input seal in the trans. Had to get a new TC, flexplate & trans seal. But lesson learned and got me home.

you seem to push this alot for everyone needing a convertor, im sure you do for the reason of it being very well built but is it suitable for a daily driver or just a race track truck? and how much?

HI!... I push it alot because I went through about 4 or 5 TQ converters in my truck. Everytime I bought a new one they told me it was good for this , it will handle that. Well none of them ever did what they were supposed to do. All of them ballooned and one I tore the snout off of. I went to the P.I "STALLION" and have been running it for many years now with no problems at all. I wish I would of went with it from the start. It would of saved me a ton of money and a lot of headaches. It was a 3000 stall and was very streetable. I drove my truck everyday back and forth to work and raced it on the weekends. Cost is about $1000, but depending where you get it, it can be a bit more or a bit less. Just trying to help people save some money and headaches. Remember, 90% of the time a converter blows up, you have to rebuild the trans. Due to converter debry flushing through the trans.
