Will plugs that are colder then stock make my truck idle rougher...

I bought a new to me truck that had 50k miles on it. I changed the plugs to Autolite HT0's and now it seems like it idles a little rougher then before. I figure it's either the HT0's being 1 level colder then stock plugs or I have a poor connection on one of the coilovers.

Anyone have an oppinion on this. Thanks.

Not sure, but most on here say to only use motorcraft plugs. I've always used them every time i change and they've worked fine for me.

You didn't do you truck any favors - and it's letting you know.

You couldn't pay me enough to run Autolites in my truck - I like my truck, so it wouldn't make any sense.

FWIW autolites are not made to spec, even though they same mfg as MC plugs. MC plugs are best, NGK and Denso seem to have the best rep aside from MC plugs.

Geez, when I decided to buy these plugs I read on this site about many people using and having no problems with these plugs. They were even suggested to me by Troyer.

Autolites are okay in a 5.4 3V. Those are essentially the same as the Motorcrafts in this case. However, you want to go HOTTER, not colder, to minimize carbon buildup on the shell.

Troyer suggested 1 colder due to the tunes I ordered. I guess I should pull the plugs on a regular basis if carbon builds up on colder plugs easier.
