Idle adjustment 4.6.V8

Hi fella's just a quicky
My 97 F150 4.6 idle speed seems to be set high ...the engine seems to settle at around 1000-1100 rpm ....can anyone tell me how so slow it down a bit to a reasonable level?
Also as i'm in the UK where can I source service items filters belts etc.

Are front A bars available for these trucks ?

where would i purchase a sports silencer just to improve the exhaust note a bit.
many thanks

There is no Idle adjustment. You need to clean or replace the Idle air control or IAC its located behind the throttle body.

You should also check all of the rubber hoses for any tears/breaks....unmetered air (vacuum leak) will cause a higher idle as well......

Most of the time it is a vaccumn leak, But star by cleaning the IAC. The first flace to check for the vac leak is the pcv tube and its connector at the intake

I've clean my IAC like 5 times in under 500 miles! I've even cleaned it two times after the no idle change!

Time for a new one?! Original 1997 one.
